Colleagues from JMSF joined nearly 42,000 other runners in the world’s biggest half marathon The Great North Run to raise money for Mercy Ships on Sunday 11th September.
This was the 36th anniversary of the race which starts in Newcastle and finishes in South Shields on the North East coast and raises millions for charity every year.
An unseasonably hot day and the volume of runners put paid to going quite as fast as they hoped but all three were delighted to run personal best times and finished within 45 seconds of each other.

A fantastic £500 has been raised for Mercy Ships so the hard work was all worth it! The hospital ship The Africa Mercy is currently docked in Cotonou, Benin where the volunteers are working hard to provide vital medical care to those in need in the community.
