At J. Marr, we believe your first role should be about more than simply finding a job. It should be an opportunity to learn, contribute, build confidence and start developing a career.

For over 45 years, J. Marr (Seafoods) Ltd. has connected producers and buyers across the world through reliable, efficient and transparent trading.

Based in Hessle, East Yorkshire, we work with partners across Africa, Asia, Europe and South America, helping move essential food products through global supply chains.

While our business operates internationally, our culture remains close-knit, collaborative and built around long-term relationships. Many of our employees have spent 10, 20 and even 30 years building rewarding careers with us.

Whether you're a graduate looking for your first professional opportunity or someone at the beginning of their career, we're interested in hearing from people who are curious, motivated and ready to learn. You don't need to have your entire career mapped out before you start. What matters to us is your attitude, your potential and your willingness to get involved.

Global Reach, Local Roots

J. Marr (Seafoods) Ltd. is part of the Andrew Marr International Group, a business with more than a century of heritage within the seafood industry.

Our headquarters is located in Hessle, near Hull, where the majority of our team is based. We also have offices in Vigo, Spain and Shanghai, China, supporting our international trading activities.

We are proud of our heritage, but equally focused on the future. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for people who want to grow with us.

Hull and East Yorkshire are home to businesses that operate nationally and internationally while remaining rooted in the region. This means you can gain international experience, work with people across global markets and build a rewarding career without necessarily having to relocate to a major city.

For graduates, building a career locally can also mean lower living and commuting costs, the opportunity to take on responsibility earlier, and the ability to remain close to family and existing support networks. Career growth isn't determined by postcode alone.
