Rachael returns to university after year-long work placement with J. Marr

We recently said goodbye to our work placement student Rachael Michael, who has returned to the University of Hull for her final year of study for a degree in Business Management and Logistics.

During her one-year placement at J. Marr, Rachael was a great asset and we are happy to have helped her gain valuable experience in her chosen field and aid her studies.

Working as part of our operations team, her responsibilities included handling inbound documents for containers, as well as understanding Letters of Protests, Outturns and Laytime calculations during vessel discharge.

When looking back at her placement, Rachael commented:

“I would like to say that I’m very thankful to the team at J. Marr for taking the time to train me, even during very busy and stressful periods. I have had fun learning and would highly recommend doing a placement at J. Marr, as I think there is so much to learn. I’ve felt well looked after, included and valued throughout my time here.”
