Over 212 Miles, Just 48 Hours, One Incredible Cause

This September, we’re proud to announce that our colleague Helen Simpson will be taking on an extraordinary challenge, the Bridge to Bridge Cycle Ride, covering more than 212 miles in just 48 hours.

Helen will be representing the J Marr team as she cycles from the Severn Bridge in the South West all the way to the Humber Bridge in East Yorkshire. It’s a demanding route, but Helen is tackling it with determination and heart, all in support of a cause that’s close to home.

Helen’s ride is more than a test of endurance, it’s a mission to raise vital funds for the Sailors’ Children Society, a charity we deeply value at J Marr. The Society provides essential support to children whose families have served at sea, including those from the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, fishing industry, and offshore sectors.

Their help comes in many forms:
School uniforms
Warm winter clothing
Hardship grants
Emotional and practical support for families in need

Thanks to initiatives like these, countless children have the tools and support they need to thrive, even through difficult times.

We’re incredibly proud of Helen’s commitment to this journey. Her drive, compassion, and willingness to go the distance embody the values we hold at J Marr.
