Mental Health Awareness Week at J Marr

15th May 2025

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week – a time to focus on mental wellbeing, spark conversations, and support one another.

Organised annually by the Mental Health Foundation, this UK-wide event shines a light on the importance of mental health and encourages everyone to reflect, talk and support those facing challenges. Each year, a theme is chosen to focus our attention on a specific aspect of mental wellbeing.

For 2025, the theme is ‘community’. Social connections and finding a community are vital for mental health and wellbeing. Through meaningful relationships and participation in communities at work and at home, we gain support systems that help us navigate life’s ups and downs. Communities offer companionship, emotional support and a sense of belonging that reduces feelings of isolation.

Strong community networks also help people build resilience, find purpose, and gain strength through shared experiences and mutual support.

At J Marr, we believe in building a culture where everyone feels part of something – where we look out for each other, talk openly and support one another.

That’s why we have a team of trained Mental Health First Aiders across the business – here to listen, support and help whenever you need it.

You’ll find their names below.
