- Manage container‑related claims and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and insurers.
- Support margin optimisation through effective planning, cost awareness, and excellent supplier and customer service.
- Produce accurate forecasts and provide clear, timely planning updates to stakeholders.
- Monitor shipments proactively, resolving issues and maintaining communication until final collection and container return by the customer
- Collaborate with Traders and support functions to ensure smooth logistics coordination and continuous service improvement.
- Seek opportunities to reduce logistics costs and improve performance and service levels.
- Work with inspection agencies to meet destination market requirements.
- Support the delivery of departmental KPIs and contribute to SAP system integration and reporting improvements.
- Provide flexible support across the wider Container Logistics team as required to maintain seamless operation

- Highly digitally savvy — confident linking systems, navigating data flows, and working with multiple platforms
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and turn insights into meaningful actions
- Comfortable using BI tools and producing clear, accurate reports to support operational and commercial decision‑making
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑moving environment
- Proactive problem‑solver who can anticipate issues and resolve them quickly under pressure
- Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams, shipping lines, and external partners
- Confident relationship‑builder with strong influencing and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, planning, and system updates
- Numerate and IT‑literate, ideally with experience of SAP or similar ERP systems
- Culturally aware and respectful when working with international partners and markets
